Javier

Javier, Peer Financial Educator

Javier is a 3rd year undergraduate student pursing his degree in Finance with an concentration in banking and financial planning. As a finance major, Javier has gained a deep understanding of financial concepts and markets, and as a peer educator, Javier is dedicated to sharing that knowledge with his peers. His courses include: financial analysis and markets, public finance, and portfolio management and security analysis. Javier is a Certified Financial Education Instructor through the National Financial Educators Council. He also has personal finance and investment experience. Javier is actively involved in the finance community, regularly participating in local Nusenda Credit Union events and staying up-to-date on the latest financial trends and news.

He is eager to leverage his knowledge and understanding to bridge the gap between NMSU students and the financial resources they need to secure their future.

Mia

Mia, Social Media and Outreach Specialist

Mia is a 2nd year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Mia works as the Social Media, Marketing and Outreach Specialist for the Nusenda team. She also assists in hosting Nusenda events such as Distinguished Lecture Series, Financial Wellness Fairs, tabling events and much more. In the Fall of 2022, Mia worked at the Front Desk at the Campus Tutoring Services. She brings a determined work ethic and contagious energy to our Nusenda Team. Mia enjoys financial planning and wealth management. Mia also posts to our social media every Monday and Wednesday for Money Saving Monday's and Financial Wellness Wednesday Tips and Tricks! 

Mia is excited to continue to work with the Nusenda team and provide financial assistance to her fellow Aggies.

Sydney

Sydney, Peer Financial Educator

Sydney is 4th year undergraduate student pursing a Bachelors in Finance with a minor in Business Law. Sydney is currently working towards becoming a Certified Financial Education Instructor through the National Financial Educators Council so that she may help her fellow Aggies in their financial literacy and financial stability goals. Sydney has a passion for helping her community, and ensuring that she can provide financial assistance to her peers brings her a lot of joy. This is Sydney’s first semester working with the Nusenda Center for Financial Capability and she is very excited to be part of our team.

Along with working for NCFC, Sydney also works with the Campus Tutoring Services.
